Disease Suppression: Soil Conditioner

The Soil Conditioner disease suppression product also has strong environmental stress resistance qualities such as decreasing heat/drought and salinity stresses. The product is derived from the proprietary high temperature anaerobic digestion composting of standard poultry litter transforming it into an easily applied liquid biostimulant and has been thoroughly tested by University research as well as numerous golf courses across the country. Significant levels of humates natural antioxidants are responsible for the disease/environmental stress suppression.

Research results indicate an effective suppression concentration of 1/25 – 1/50 dilution of the product.

Spray rigs are generally in the 100-300 gallon range total capacity. Normal spray volumes for most soluble/liquid applications are 4.0 gallons/1000 sq. ft. or 175 gallons/acre. Most applications today are focused upon foliar feeding and covering more area per tank full and, as such, a typical spray application volume is 2.0 gallons/1000 sq. ft. or 88 gallons/acre total volume. Soil Conditioner can also be applied through fertigation and drip irrigation systems.

Spray Application Vol.Liquid Application Rate
4.0 gal/1000 = 174 gal/acre =2% = 3.5 gal/acre
4% = 7.0 gal/acre
2.0 gal/1000 = 87.2 gal/acre2% = 1.75 gal/acre
4% = 3.75 gal/acre

Normal Environmental Conditions:

  • Lawn Care: 15-30 day intervals depending upon disease/stress pressure.
  • Fairways: 14-21 day intervals.
  • Greens/tees: 7 – 14 day intervals.
  • 2.0 – 4.0 % Total Concentration: Depending upon stress pressure.
  • For a spray volume rate of 2.0 gal./1000: 1.75 – 3.75 gal./acre
  • For a spray volume rate of 4.0 gal/1000: 3.5 – 7.0 gal/acre

High Disease Environmental Conditions:

  • Fairways: 7-14 day intervals.
  • Greens/tees: 2-4 day intervals.

Estimated Average Usage for 18-Hole Golf Course:

The average 18 hole course has approximately 5.0 acres of greens and tees and 40 acres of fairways. This is a very conservative estimate.

Greens and Tees: Normal Environmental Conditions = 2.0 – 4.0 gallons/acre.

Greens Tees: 5 acres X 2.0 gallon rate = 10 gallons/application.
Application frequency: Every 7 days = 4 times/month = 40 gallons.
12 months X 40 gallons = 480 gallons total usage for 5 acres.
12 months X 80 gallons = 960 gallons for 4.0 gal/acre rate.

High Disease Environmental Conditions = 4.0 – 7.0 gallons/acre
12 months = 960 – 1344 gallons/season for greens and tees.

Fairways: Average acreage is 40 acres. Rates of application for fairways will be 2.0 gallons/acre applied every 14 days = 26 applications X 2.0 gal./acre = 52 gal./acre/year X 40 acres = 2080 gallons/season.

Greens and Tees: 480 – 1344 gallons/year
Fairways: 2080 gallons/year

Total Estimated Gallons for Entire Golf Course: 2500 – 3400 gallons/year

Foliar/Root Nutrition with Disease Suppression: Super Six (6-0-5)

This product has a base comprised of the same disease suppression Soil Conditioner and is strongly enhanced with liquid organic soluble nitrogen derived from extensive reprocessing of Soil Conditioner. The soluble organic nitrogen is derived from the protein and free amino acids resulting from nano filtration of the Soil Conditioner which represents the highest level of certified organic nitrogen in the industry.

Application Rates:

Rates and frequencies of application should be determined by the nitrogen nutrition programs developed and recommended for each specific crop commodity.

Lawn Care: 0.25 – 1.0 lbN/1000 sq. ft. every 4-8 weeks.

Golf and Sports Turf:

Spoon feeding programs ranging from 1/12 – 1/8 lbN/1000 every 1-2 week period for golf greens, tees and sports fields receiving a heavy level of play.

Warm Season Turf: 1/8 lbN/1000/week = 2.0 gallons/1000 sq. ft. = 90 gallons/acre
5.0 acres of greens and tees = 450 gallons/week X 52 weeks = 23,400 gal/season
Two week application intervals = 11,700 gal/season

Total Seasonal Usage for Greens and Tees: 11,700 – 23,400 gallons

OrGran 3-8-5 Granular Product:

Greens and Tees: Rates will average 1.0 lbN/1000 sq. ft./month without use of our liquid products. Use of our liquid 6-1-1 will cut rates at least by 50% to 6.0 lbsN/1000 sq. ft./year.

A rate of 0.5 lbN/1000 sq. ft./month and an average of 5 acres of greens and tees:
6.25 lbs fertilizer/1000 sq. ft. or 272 lbs/acre X 5 = 1360 lbs fertilizer/application.
12 applications/year = 16,320 lbs fertilizer/year

Fairways: Rates will average 4-6 lbs N/1000/season. Assuming an average of 40 acres.
2178 lbs fertilizer/acre/season = 87,120 lbs fertilizer/season/40 acres
